Mrs. Amelia Powell, 60 years of age, living with her son, Thomas Powell, at 306 Scott street near the Tuttle school, died at the City hospital, Indianapolis, at noon Monday from the effects of injuries suffered when struck by an inbound Crawfordsville car on the T. H. I. and E. Traction Company at Speedway Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Powell is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Hesser of Indianapolis; and a son, Thomas Powell, of this city. She also leaves seven sisters, Mrs. Ethel Boots, near this city; Mrs. Martha Bowman of Lebanon; Mrs. Mary Dixon of Indianapolis; Mrs. Malissa Brosher of Indianapolis; Mrs. Maggie Crethers of Thorntown; Mrs. Lou Bell of Frankfort, and Mrs. Hattie Logan of Thorntown, and one brother, Joseph Logan of Edinburg. Funeral services will be held from the Christian church at 2 o'clock on Wednesday Afternoon, with Rev. S. G. Smith of Ladoga in charge assisted by Rev. J. H. Wilson, local pastor. Interment will be made at Pisgah Cemetery.
